We have created the campground page to assist you in deciding whether you would like to stay at a given campground. We currently have a 40' Diesel Motorhome with three slides; prior to 2007 we had a 35' Gas Motorhome with one slide. We do not rate campground bathroom facilities as we seldom use them; we prefer the convenience of our own restroom. We use the various campground links on the left side of this page in determining where to stay.

Happy Camping!

Deer Park RV Park and Campground

Location: Buffalo, WY
Site#: 105 (King size site)
Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP.
Big Rig Friendly: Yes.
Wi-Fi: Yes, but at times very weak, but with our Alpha Network Adapter it worked great. Cell phone coverage was great and we could also use our Verizon Aircard
Cable: Yes
Pros: Large Pull through sites with about 20' of grass on each side of our driveway. Koko loved her play area. Pool and hot tub, which we did not use. Ice Cream Social (1.00 for 2 scoops), but nice way to meet people in park. Easy access to both I-25 & I-90.
Cons: Bugs (we got use to the desert), but I guess that is not all the campgrounds faults.

Cost: $37.00
Rating: 8.5
Notes: We stopped here enroute back to WI and to tour the "Big Horn" National Forest.

Lyman KOA

Location: Lyman, WY
Site#: 19
Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP
Big Rig Friendly: Yes.
Wi-Fi: Yes, but signal was weak. We we used our Alpha Network Adapter it worked great. We used were able to use our Verizon Aircard
Cable: No
Pros: Good overnight stop with large pulls if you get the right one (see comment in the cons). Easy access from highway about one mile from I-80 and you do not hear much (if any) road noise.
Cons: Sites are gravel (a bit of gravel) with grass growing through them. Also we are lucky no one was parked in the space ahead of us because we could not make the sharp turn out of our pull-through site onto the road. They have a road down the middle (not the outside) and four campsites on each side of the road, and it is very difficult for the first two sites closest to the road to make the turn especially with a tow vehicle. The campground could use some grounds improvements.
Cost: $31.19 with our KOA discount
Rating: 6.0
Notes: They did have a pool, but we didn't use it. This served our purpose for a one night stop, but it is not a resort or place we would stay for an extended period of time.
