We have created the campground page to assist you in deciding whether you would like to stay at a given campground. We currently have a 40' Diesel Motorhome with three slides; prior to 2007 we had a 35' Gas Motorhome with one slide. We do not rate campground bathroom facilities as we seldom use them; we prefer the convenience of our own restroom. We use the various campground links on the left side of this page in determining where to stay.
Happy Camping!
Location: West Sacramento, CA Site#: 13Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP. Big Rig Friendly: Yes.Wi-Fi: Yes Cable: No
Pros: Levels site with gravel area to park motorhome, and paved patio and area to park tow vehicle. Also, paved interior roads, good wifi, close to downtown Sacramento, and fairly quiet campground
Cons: The appearance/neighborhood was not the safest part of town.Cost: $27.86 (weekly rate average)
Rating: 7.5
Notes: Not many options in the Sacramento area, and from other reviews this appeared to be the best option.

Location: Coarsegold, CA Site#: 539Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP. Big Rig Friendly: Yes.Wi-Fi: We used our Verizon Aircard, they may have had it by the office? Cable: Yes
Pros: Beautiful campground with long and wide site, with some privacy between sites. The owners (SKP membership park) were all very friendly, and made sure to invite us to various events and activities that were going on in the park. Lots of area to walk through this beautifully wooded park, and lots of hills to get a good cardio workout. It was just a nice place to sit outside and relax. The price was an excellent value for a FHU/50 Amp site such as this.
Cons: We were told when we checked in that if you have a washer/dryer or dishwasher you could not use it; because of the (outdated) septic system.
Cost: $15.86 (our cost/electric for two weeks averaged out).
Rating: 9.5
Notes: This park was close to Yosemite National Park. about 20 miles from the entrance.

Location: Three Rivers, CA Site#: 38Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP. Big Rig Friendly: Yes, but some of the sites are tight depending on the location of the treesWi-Fi: Yes, but only worked at time. Our verizon air card did not work, no cell services here!Cable: Yes
Pros: Close to Sequoia National Park, and nice quiet campground.
Cons: No cell phone coverage and wifi connection was poor when campground was full on weekend, and the pull-through sites were narrow. Cost: $32.00 (averaged for weekly rate)
Rating: 7.5
Notes: We choose this campgroundbecause it was so close to Sequoia National Park

Location: Pacifica, CA Site#: 40Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP. Big Rig Friendly: Yes.Wi-Fi: Yes, but slow at times, so we also used our Verizon Aircard Cable: Yes
Pros: Ocean View, Ocean View, Ocean View. The view out our windshield was beautfiul, and we had easy access to San Francisco.
Cons: Very tight spaces (and we knew that going in, so it wasn't a big shock for us). For anyone reading this review it is basically a parking lot with lines drawn for your parking space, and you must fit in the lines. We had to position the motorhome just right to fit in so we could extend our slides on both sides. The oceanview sites alternate you drive in one (motorhome view), and back in the other (5th wheel oceanview). All the hookups were in the front so if you have a motorhome it makes for a very long reach for your hookups.
Cost: $70.00 (weekly rate - oceanview site)
Rating: 8.25
Notes: We stayed here to tour San Francisco which was about 15 miles to downtown. We chose this campground based on the reviews.

Location: San Juan Bautista, CA Site#: 98Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP. Big Rig Friendly: Yes.Wi-Fi: Yes, but only at the clubhouse area. We used our Verizon Aircard.Cable: Yes
Pros: Pull through sites and with some trees and shrubs between sites for privacy. We didn't use it, but they said the pool was nicely heated. Nice play area for the dog. Very easy on and off access.
Cons: It was about 9 miles to any shopping or restaurants.Cost: $30.00 (our weekly rate average)
Rating: 8.75
Notes: We stayed here to tour the Monterey area, and drive US1 north and south of Monterey.

Location: Pismo Beach, CA Site#: 165Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP. Big Rig Friendly: Yes.Wi-Fi: Yes and also excellent coverage on our Verizon Aircard Cable: Yes
Pros: Beach....you could walk right onto the Pacific Ocean. Very nice quiet community (we were there end of April 2010) you did not feel like you were in a tourist / beach community (meaning it was NOT crowded). Very pet friendly and the dogs could go on the beach as well. Cons: The sights were all back-ins and a bit short for us. We just fit our 40' motorhome into our site (the site was plenty wide enough to park our tow vehicle next to it). Cost: $47.50
Rating: 9.0
Notes:
Location: Ventura, CA Site#: 60Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP. Big Rig Friendly: Yes.Wi-Fi: Yes, and we also used our Verizon Aircard Cable: No
Pros: Pull through sites and samll grassy area between sites. The grounds were well maintained and looked very nice. We also found a nice walking/biking trail right outside the campground which was a bonus for us.
Cons: LOTS of road noise from 101, so much noise John renamed the park "Say What?". The prices on their website must be very dated and when I made the reservation the gentleman told me it was 50.00/day (total). When we got their the lady at the front desk said he must have forgotten to mention the 4.00/per dog fee and 5.00/day HOTEL tax. That is when I said "Say What?" and wasn't very happy. I told her that the website said the rate was 38 -41.50/night and she said she doesn't take care of that...do you want to stay or not. I wasn't too impressed with that friendly attitude. Cost: $59.00 (50.00/ night + 4.00/per pet + 5.00 HOTEL tax)
Rating: 7.0
Notes: We stopped here on our tour of the Pacific Coast. This would be a nice place if it weren't for the road noise and the price. I would NOT stay here again, especially at that price.
