We have created the campground page to assist you in deciding whether you would like to stay at a given campground. We currently have a 40' Diesel Motorhome with three slides; prior to 2007 we had a 35' Gas Motorhome with one slide. We do not rate campground bathroom facilities as we seldom use them; we prefer the convenience of our own restroom. We use the various campground links on the left side of this page in determining where to stay.
Happy Camping!
Location: Reedsville, WI Site#: 13, then 21Type of hookups: Water, 50 AMP, and at site 21 we had a 300 gallon black tank (which they pumped upon request for 9.00/pump).Big Rig Friendly: Yes.Wi-Fi: Yes depending on the site, but with our Alpha Network Adapter it worked fined. We also used our Verizon Aircard Cable: No, but Sateliite and Air coverage was fine.
Pros: Nice campground for us in our hometown area with 50 amp hookup. This campground does not have a lot of amenities that attracts kids, so it is a very quite campground which is what we enjoyed about it SO MUCH! The owner Norm goes out of his way to make sure you are happy and have what you need to be comfortable.
Cons: The only thing that would make it better for us would be sewer hookups, but that is not something that is easy to find in WI campgrounds. Cost: $420.00/ month (This includes electricity, but does not include the pumping of the black tank at 9.00/pump. We pumped out about every 2 weeks as we do our own laundry).
Rating: 7.75
Notes: This campground worked out very well for us while we completed all our annual checkups, and visited with family and friends. We will spend a couple months back here next summer.

Pros: Long Pull through sites. Owners, and staff very friendly, allowed us extra time at no charge the next day (if needed) as we had our motorhome windshield repaired. They had a pool, but we did not use it; however we did use the dog agility area which Koko really enjoyed.
Cons: PriceCost: $47.41

Location: Custer, SD Site#: OType of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP. Big Rig Friendly: Yes.Wi-Fi: Yes, but signal was weak and with our Alpha Network Adapter it worked OK. We also used our Verizon Aircard.Cable: Yes
Pros: Nice pull through sites. Owners, staff, and residents very friendly. We enjoy the Custer area very much. We checked out the other campgrounds in the area and this was one of the nicer ones.
Cons: We were there during the summer months, which meant lots of noisy kids in this very tourist area. Cost: $32.40 weekly rate
Rating: 8.25
Notes: We enjoyed the Custer area very much, but enjoyed it much better in September (after labor day), once the kids were back in school and tourism was down.
Location: Spearfish, SD Site#: 103Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP, but only a few. Big Rig Friendly: YesWi-Fi: Yes and cell phone coverage was great and we could also use our Verizon Aircard Cable: Yes
Pros: Nice clean campground with lots of shades and very well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the interior roads are all paved. Easy on and off access from I-90. Very nice heated pool (86 temp).
Cons: The sites are a bit narrow and water pressure at times was very low (37). Not much room at the entrance/check-in area. Cost: $32.57 (Discounted for Weekly Rate) Note: They do not take credit cards.
Rating: 8.00
Notes: We stopped here to tour the Spearfish area.

Pros: Large Pull through sites with about 20' of grass on each side of our driveway. Koko loved her play area. Pool and hot tub, which we did not use. Ice Cream Social (1.00 for 2 scoops), but nice way to meet people in park. Easy access to both I-25 & I-90.
Cons: Bugs (we got use to the desert), but I guess that is not all the campgrounds faults. Cost: $37.00
Rating: 8.5

Notes: We got in around 1:00, and couldn't believe how the park was FULL by 6:00 PM.
