Pros: We had a nice corner site, so we had lots of room on our curbside.  We had a nice water front view out the front windshield.  All sites are paved, and we had easy on and off access from the interstate.  Friendly staff and residents, and lots of social activities.   Nice hot tub, workout room, aerobic, yoga and line dance classes. 
Con: 

Cost: $600.00 for monthly fee + electric

Notes:  Lots of activities to do in the area, but plan on driving atleast 30 minutes to most activities.  Groceries and restaurants in Kerrville about 7 miles away.

River Ranch RV Resort

Location: New Braunfels, TX

Pros: Pull through paved sites, with free cable, and very good wi-fi.  Easy on and off access to campground. Lots of things to do, shopping and restaurants in area.   The campground was only 3/4 mile from the dealer we were going to have service work done.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons:  Lots of road noise from I-35, and sites were somewhat narrow.

Cost: $25.56 - this was our average price for 8 nights and Good Sams discount.

Rayford Crossing

Location: Spring, TX

Wi-Fi: Yes, and our Verizon Aircard worked fine as well.
Cable: Yes
Pros: Large pull through paved sites, and because we had a premium site we had a nice corner site with a patio table and large grill area.  Nice heated pool, hot tub, and workout room.
Cons:  Lots of traffic getting to the campground, and the roads down to the campground are very narrow.   Lots of train, plane and traffic noise. Campground is a bit pricey.

Cost: $51.46 (this include a 4.00/per day extra charge for 4 days over Thanksgiving weekend).
Rating: 8.5
Notes: We were looking for a nice place to spend the holiday weekend, only really stayed here to tour the Space Center...not many good campground in Houston area.

A+ Motel and RV Park

Location: Sulpher, LA

Cable: Yes.
Pros: Large pull through paved sites. Easy on and off access from the highway, all roads and sites are paved, and very well maintained grounds. Nice dog walk area, and field that the dogs could run off leash.

Cons: Sites were a bit close together (but we didn't have anyone on either side of us), so not much privacy. Also no amenities.

Cost: $25.20 (Good Sams discount)
Rating: 9.00
Notes: This was just an easy over night stop for us, and this place worked perfect for that. We would definitely stay here again.

Fountainebleu State Park

Location: Mandeville, LA

Type of hookups: Water and Electric 50 AMP only. Dump station was easily accessible.
Big Rig Friendly: Yes, but watch for the low hang branches driving through the park. Some areas we drove down the middle of the road.
Wi-Fi: Yes, but at times it was slow. We also used our Verizon Aircard which worked fine.
Cable: No.
Pros: Very Large (both wide and long) back in paved sites. Lots of activities to do in the area. New Orleans is about an hour drive; hiking trails and lots of geocaching in the park. Also, the Tammy Trace rails to trails is located just outside the entrance of the park.
Cons: Lots of traffic in the area, which made it troublesome to do shopping or just going to the post office. No play area for Koko, we couldn't even play with her on our own site. Ranger said the leash has to be in your hands at all times, or we would be fined.

Cost: $16.00-20.00/night depending on the site.
Rating: 7.75
Notes: We stay here to tour the New Orleans area, and thought it was a better option than driving the mothership into one of the campgrounds in the city.

Rainbow Plantation - Escapees Park

Location: Summerdale, AL

Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP (just make sure you ask for 50AMP, about half of the sites are 30amp only).
Big Rig Friendly: Yes.
Wi-Fi: No, but we used our Verizon Aircard which worked fine.
Cable: No.
Pros: Very Large (both wide and long) back-in grass sites. Great location for touring, Pensacola, Mobile, and Gulf Shores area. Lots to see and do in the area, many great restaurants, and lots of shopping within 30 minutes. Lots of fellowship and activities are occurring at this park. Very quiet and reasonably priced.
Cons: No easy access (lots of stop and go lights) to the Plantation, so we wouldn't just stay there for a night or two but if you are planning on spending a week or more it is definitely worth the drive. Fire ants are found all over, so you have to watch where you walk. They do spray for them, and we didn't have a problem with them in the rig.
Cost: $85.00/week + Electricity
Rating: 8.25
Notes: We will definitely come back to stay when were are in the area, it is a very nice place to stay with lots of activities going on.

Montgomery South

Location: Hope Hull, AL

Wi-Fi: Yes worked excellent, and our Verizon air card worked fine as well
Cable: Yes, but we didn't use it as we have Satellite.
Pros: All gravel pull through sites, and very friendly owner/staff.
Cons: No trees or landscaping just a big open gravel sites with a patch of grass between sites.
Cost: $26.00 / Good Sams discount
Rating: 7.5
Notes: We stayed here for three nights to tour Montgomery. It is ok for a quick stop, but nothing else special here.
