We have created the campground page to assist you in deciding whether you would like to stay at a given campground. We currently have a 40' Diesel Motorhome with three slides; prior to 2007 we had a 35' Gas Motorhome with one slide. We do not rate campground bathroom facilities as we seldom use them; we prefer the convenience of our own restroom. We use the various campground links on the left side of this page in determining where to stay.

Happy Camping!

Big Bend RV Resort

Location: Terlingua TX
Site#: 2
Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP.
Big Rig Friendly: Yes.
Wi-Fi: Yes, and pretty fast...much better performance than our Verizon aircard.
Cable: Yes, but not many channels and would fade in and out at times.
Pros: Pull through sites,  easy on and off access from TX-118 (right at the junction of 170 & 118), staff, and residents very friendly.  Groceries, fuel, and cafe right here on grounds if needed.
Cons: Very dusty park as the sites and roads are mostly a powder dirt with very little to no gravel.\Very remote location so only a small shop for groceries and a little cafe, and because of the location the prices on everything including fuel is much higher.
Cost: $26.00/day
Rating: 6.5
Notes: We stocked up on groceries before arriving here because of the limited choices and prices. We stayed here to tour Big Bend National Park and it is the closest park to the west entrance.  We did a quick stop at Maverick Ranch RV Park, in Lajitas and John would recommend stay here vs Big Bend RV Resort.   It is 17 miles one-way further to the park entrance (17-18 minute drive), but the roads and sites are all paved.   I however should mention that we noticed the cell  reception in Lajitas was only 2 bars vs the full 5 bars in Terlingua.
