We have created the campground page to assist you in deciding whether you would like to stay at a given campground. We currently have a 40' Diesel Motorhome with three slides; prior to 2007 we had a 35' Gas Motorhome with one slide. We do not rate campground bathroom facilities as we seldom use them; we prefer the convenience of our own restroom. We use the various campground links on the left side of this page in determining where to stay.

Happy Camping!

Park of Sierras (Escapees SKP Park)

Location: Coarsegold, CA
Site#: 539
Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP.
Big Rig Friendly: Yes.
Wi-Fi: We used our Verizon Aircard, they may have had it by the office?
Cable: Yes
Pros: Beautiful campground with long and wide site, with some privacy between sites. The owners (SKP membership park) were all very friendly, and made sure to invite us to various events and activities that were going on in the park. Lots of area to walk through this beautifully wooded park, and lots of hills to get a good cardio workout. It was just a nice place to sit outside and relax. The price was an excellent value for a FHU/50 Amp site such as this.
Cons: We were told when we checked in that if you have a washer/dryer or dishwasher you could not use it; because of the (outdated) septic system.
Cost: $15.86 (our cost/electric for two weeks averaged out).
Rating: 9.5
Notes: This park was close to Yosemite National Park. about 20 miles from the entrance.

San Francisco RV Resort

Location: Pacifica, CA
Site#: 40
Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP.
Big Rig Friendly: Yes.
Wi-Fi: Yes, but slow at times, so we also used our Verizon Aircard
Cable: Yes
Pros: Ocean View, Ocean View, Ocean View. The view out our windshield was beautfiul, and we had easy access to San Francisco.
Cons: Very tight spaces (and we knew that going in, so it wasn't a big shock for us). For anyone reading this review it is basically a parking lot with lines drawn for your parking space, and you must fit in the lines. We had to position the motorhome just right to fit in so we could extend our slides on both sides. The oceanview sites alternate you drive in one (motorhome view), and back in the other (5th wheel oceanview). All the hookups were in the front so if you have a motorhome it makes for a very long reach for your hookups.
Cost: $70.00 (weekly rate - oceanview site)
Rating: 8.25
Notes: We stayed here to tour San Francisco which was about 15 miles to downtown. We chose this campground based on the reviews.
