We have created the campground page to assist you in deciding whether you would like to stay at a given campground. We currently have a 40' Diesel Motorhome with three slides; prior to 2007 we had a 35' Gas Motorhome with one slide. We do not rate campground bathroom facilities as we seldom use them; we prefer the convenience of our own restroom. We use the various campground links on the left side of this page in determining where to stay.

Happy Camping!

Lost Alaskan

L

Location: Alpine TX
Site#: C2
Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP.
Big Rig Friendly: Yes.
Wi-Fi: Yes, but very slow, so we used our Verizon aircard which worked great.
Cable: Yes
Pros: Pull through sites,  easy on and off access from TX-118 (follow bypass as campground website directs), staff, and residents very friendly.  One of the nicer campground in the area to tour Ft. Davis area.
Cons: Not much room between you and your neighbor, not much in the city of Alpine itself and only one grocery store in town which was OK (Porter's Thriftway).  Fuel prices and such are more expensive in this area because of the remote location
Cost: $27.72 (Good Sams discount for a week)
Rating: 7
Notes: We stayed here to tour Ft Davis and the Davis mountains.
