We have created the campground page to assist you in deciding whether you would like to stay at a given campground. We currently have a 40' Diesel Motorhome with three slides; prior to 2007 we had a 35' Gas Motorhome with one slide. We do not rate campground bathroom facilities as we seldom use them; we prefer the convenience of our own restroom. We use the various campground links on the left side of this page in determining where to stay.

Happy Camping!

Ami's Acres Campground - Glenwood Springs, CO

Location: Glenwood Springs, CO
Site#: 13
Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP.
Big Rig Friendly: Yes, but very tight (we have three slides and were able to extend all of them).
Wi-Fi: Was available in the front office area only, or possible sites closer to office. We could not pick it up from our site
Cable: No
Pros: About the only campground with 50AMP full hookups in the Aspen - Glenwood Springs area. Its close to Glenwood Springs and many activities in the area. The owner very friendly and working on maintaining the grounds. The view of the surrounding mountains is very nice. The cell phone coverage in this area is excellent, so I could use my air card for Internet access.
Cons: Road (I-70) and Railroad noise. The sites were covered with large gravel (stones) that are difficult to walk on and don't cover the entire ground, so the ground can get muddy. Sites are very narrow for a big-rig with slide outs. The campground is built into a hill, so the driveway is very steep and no place to unhook your tow vehicle except the road. No amenities (pool, playground for children, etc..) and the TV antenna reception is not very good (we picked one channel).
Cost: $34.81
Rating: 5.5
Notes: We stayed in this area to visit family in Aspen and enjoy the outdoor activities between Aspen and Glenwood Springs.
