We have created the campground page to assist you in deciding whether you would like to stay at a given campground. We currently have a 40' Diesel Motorhome with three slides; prior to 2007 we had a 35' Gas Motorhome with one slide. We do not rate campground bathroom facilities as we seldom use them; we prefer the convenience of our own restroom. We use the various campground links on the left side of this page in determining where to stay.

Happy Camping!

Elk Meadows Resort - Estes Park, CO

Location: Estes Park, CO
Site#: C3
Type of hookups: Full hookups 50 AMP.
Big Rig Friendly: Yes.
Wi-Fi: Yes
Cable: Yes
Pros: Very nice campground while beautiful views of the Rockies. The staff was very friendly and they assisted you to your site. Lots of amenities and very nice lodge with some planned activities. The sites are fairly level for being in the Rockies, and are gravel pads. The Closest campground to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Cons: Not a whole lot of area for you to sit outside, because of the uneven seating area. Most people would sit behind or in front of their rigs on the site (gravel) site pads. No easy route to get to the campground, plus you must go through downtown Estes Park with lots of people and traffic. We thought the campground was a bit pricey, and the cell phone coverage was sporadic.

Cost: $50.00 (included extra charge for 50AMP and Cable)
Rating: 6.25
Notes: We stayed here because of the close proximity for touring Rocky Mountain National Park.
